Les G Fuller- John Fuller’s Father’s Obituary Notice

Les G Fuller
(October 13, 1943 - August 9, 2014)
A great man, Leslie Gene Fuller (Les), left this world on August 9, 2014, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous four year battle with prostate cancer. Les was born on October 13, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Floyd Burton and Merveen Hansen Fuller. He married Linda Okamura on June 24, 1966. Les grew up in Holladay, Utah and attended Olympus High School. He joined the Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Ft. Ord, California. Les worked at Alta Ski Lifts for over 30 years where he developed many of the technologies used in the ski industry today. He served several terms as the President of the Intermountain Ski Area Association and was appointed to the Utah State Tram Board. During his life, Les was always looking to improve his surroundings and those with whom he associated. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed skiing, camping, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He taught by example to always have compassion for others and believed that there was good in everyone. Les’ greatest accomplishment was his family and his happiest moments were spending time with them. We love you Dad! Survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda; children - Gary (Gerry) Canfield, John (Teri) Fuller, Julie (Rob) Steele, Emilie (Wes) Stahl, and Kathryn (Derek) Lowe. Grandchildren - Steven Canfield, Sarah Stahl Davis, Lauren Canfield, Liz Fuller, Ashlee Steele, Michael Fuller, Nick Steele, Jessica Lowe, Hailey Stahl, Tyler Stahl; mother-in-law, Angelina Okamura, brother, Larry (Carol) Fuller, sister Marilyn Phillips, and a large extended family.
