RELIEF SOCIETY NEWS FROM OUR WVC 4TH WARD NEWSLETTER

Belated thanks to those who brought displays of their talents and those who performed for us at our R. S. Talent Show held way back in January!! It was a lot of fun looking at the wide variety of items made by our very talented sisters and enjoying their musical selections. If you missed it, you really missed out!  Thanks to Sister Stott, Tiffany and Shaylee for being there for the children’s class… to Brother Richard Butts for his continued help in setting up for us… for his efforts in shoveling the beautiful white snow for us… and to those who help us clean up afterwards!!!
In February, Sister Dorene Lynch prepared a power-point presentation to help us with meal planning ideas. We also were given some ideas on how to make mealtime fun, especially at Valentine’s time. Sister Sarah Holman made a version of a popular game that helps to stimulate family conversations around the dinner table.  Hopefully, those who received these have had some fun evenings already. Thanks to those who baked the brownies for us as well!! They were yummy. We appreciated Sister Jaime Holdaway taking charge of the children’s class…and, once again, thanks to Brother Butts, Tiffany and Caitlyn!
A special note of thanks to those who clean the building each and every week!!!
We would like to express our appreciation to Sister Rose Bowen for her thought-provoking and well-presented lessons. She has gone on to enrich the Primary with her talents.
We’d also like to thank Sister Anikka Edwards, who has recently been released, for her diligence and dependability in serving as our Visiting Teaching Coordinator. We’d like to extend a welcome now to Sister KayWilliams who accepted that daunting calling. By now, you probably know that there have been changes made in our visiting teaching district that affect almost everyone. Thank you for being willing to serve the sisters in our ward as we all work toward eternal goals and make new friendships with sisters in our area.
Congratulations to the Carter Holdaway family who have recently been sealed in the Mt.Timpanogos Temple!! They will have added anew member to their ‘forever family’ by the time this newsletter is printed.
Welcome to Kyle Carter Holdaway born on March 11. We wish Sister Jaime Holdaway a speedy recovery.
Over a short period of time, we have learned of several deaths of persons related to many of our ward members, including a former ward member.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to you and to your loved ones. We have also learned of serious health challenges recently diagnosed and hospital stays. May those of you who are currently experiencing these challenges and your families be blessed and comforted.
On a more pleasant note, congratulations to Tony and Amanda Duncombe, who were recently married. Tony is the son of Dean and ReNae Duncombe.
We hope many of you sisters were able to join with the Stake Relief Society on Saturday, March 19th at the Stake Center for their activity! They really put a lot of effort into making these special events worthwhile for the sisters in our stake.
Save April 12th for another fun mid-week activity. More info will be forthcoming. Watch for it and plan to come!
