Russell Bennion "Rusty" Our special, beloved son, Rusty, exchanged mortality for immortality February 18, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1961 to Don and Marlene Jones Bennion. He attended the Hartvigsen School from age 5 to 22 years and graduated from there and LDS Seminary. Rusty was loved by all that knew him and was a great example to all of his family through the love he showed for others. He was the joy of our family and loved to entertain at family gatherings. He loved attending his church meetings, served many years at passing out the Sacrament programs and was a common link of love and fun for all the ages of children in the family. Rusty worked at Deseret Industries for 27 years. He was a hard worker and was employed at the Magna, Kearns and new West Valley DI's. He was loved by those with whom he worked and always said, "I love DI". Rusty is survived by his parents; five brothers and four sisters: Doneen (David) Simpson, Dave (Linette) Bennion, Julie (Robert) Mills, Greg (Heather) Bennion, Patty (Jim) Vance, Pam (David) Musselman, Jeff (Angela) Bennion, Quinn (Debbie) Bennion and Brad (Angie) Bennion; 48 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his Grandma and Grandpa Bennion and Grandma and Grandpa Jones. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 25, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Parkway 5th Ward, 10206 South 3200 West, South Jordan, UT. Viewings will be held Thursday, 6-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Friday at the church, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
